Mr. Veyankatesh Garg is a Partner and Lead Counsel at the firm, leading its core litigation and advisory practice with strategic insight and a strong command over diverse areas of law. A graduate of ILS Law College, Pune (Batch of 2005), he brings a rare combination of experience, precision, and courtroom excellence to his practice.

At the young age of 26, he was appointed as an Assistant Advocate General for the Government of Rajasthan, where he successfully represented the State in several significant matters before the Rajasthan High Court and the Supreme Court of India. During his tenure till 2013, he handled cases of constitutional importance, including issues relating to reservation in promotions in the State cadre, and appeared in major land acquisition matters such as those for the Jaipur Metro Rail Project.

He has been on the panel of RIICO and the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, and has represented key departments of the Government of Rajasthan including Finance, Commercial Taxes, Law and Legal Affairs, and Mines.

Mr. Veyankatesh has appeared before the Indore and Gwalior Benches of the Madhya Pradesh High Court, various High Courts across India, the Supreme Court of India, and specialised tribunals including the NCLT, NCDRC, DRT, and CAT.

He has advised and represented several corporate houses such as JSW Energy, GHV (India) Pvt. Ltd., Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., and Barmer Lignite Mining Company Ltd. His wide-ranging practice covers Criminal Trials and Appeals, Civil and Rent Suits, Service and Constitutional Matters, Land Acquisition, Service Writs (Appointment, Dismissal & Pension), NI Act (Sec. 138) Cases, Consumer and Recovery Matters, Arbitration, and Commercial Disputes.

He achieved his first reportable judgment in 2007 and now has over 25 reportable judgments across varied legal issues to his credit. Mr. Veyankatesh presently handles matters for leading law firms across the nation, offering strategic counsel and representation in complex disputes.

Mr. Vishnu Kumar Sharma, M.A., LL.B., is a seasoned labour law expert with over three decades of rich and diverse experience in the Labour Department of the Government of Rajasthan. He worked closely with the Principal Secretary and Secretary (Labour) at both the State and Central levels, representing the Government in several advisory boards and policy forums on employment law and industrial relations.

As a key contributor to labour policy reform, Mr. Sharma played a pivotal role in drafting and amending crucial legislations such as the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 and the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition) Act, 1970 (State Amendments) in 2014, helping modernize Rajasthan’s labour law framework.

Throughout his tenure, he served as a Conciliation Officer and exercised quasi-judicial powers under various labour laws, deciding hundreds of industrial cases and promoting amicable dispute resolution. His pragmatic approach and negotiation skills brought together corporate leaders and trade union representatives to maintain industrial peace and foster sustainable growth.

He possesses specialized expertise in the Building and Other Construction Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act, 1996, particularly in cess levy, assessment, and compliance under the BOCW Welfare Cess framework. He has also advised various corporate houses across the country over levy of cess and has also advised the firm in the SLP filed before the Hon’ble Supreme Court challenging the levy of interest over the Cess amount.

Post-retirement, he founded G3 HR Solutions, a consultancy firm providing specialized advisory in HR, IR, and labour law compliance, including HR audits, establishment and contract labour compliance, disciplinary proceedings, domestic inquiries, POSH compliance, and legal representation before statutory authorities.

He began his illustrious career with the Rajasthan State Electricity Board (RSEB) as an Assistant Engineer and rose through the ranks to become Chief Engineer and Director (Legal Affairs). During his tenure, he worked extensively across generation, transmission, and distribution functions, contributing significantly to the modernization and efficiency of the state’s power infrastructure.

As Director (Legal Affairs), Mr. Gupta implemented systemic reforms that led to a remarkable reduction in pending litigations — from 22,000 to 12,000 cases — demonstrating his exceptional administrative acumen and problem-solving abilities.

Post retirement from RSEB in 2008, Mr. Gupta continued his contribution to the energy sector by joining Adani Mines as Director, and later, JSW Energy in 2012. He also served as Managing Director of Barmer Lignite Mining Company Limited (BLMCL) for over 12 years, where he played a pivotal role in steering large-scale mining and energy projects.

Mr. Gupta was also part of the Planning Committee that collaborated with the Government of Rajasthan and the Government of India in the drafting of the Indian Electricity Act, making a lasting contribution to the legislative framework governing India’s power sector.

With deep technical insight and legal expertise, Mr. Kannan now advises on engineering consultancy, contract management, dispute resolution, and arbitration. He has served as an empanelled contract expert, leading several conciliation and settlement committees to resolve complex infrastructure disputes through pragmatic and innovative approaches.
